Erick Jerone Ballard's Obituary
Erick Jerone Ballard entered the world on August 31st 1983. some would say he was born with drum sticks in his hands. He was the 10th child of twelve born to the union of Edward Jarrett Ballard Sr. & Linda Vera (Johnson) Ballard At the age of 3, Erick would play drums on pots and pans to his dads Quartet tunes.He became an exceptional musician who studied at Music Tech/ McNally Smith College of Music,in St.paul, Mn. Where he learned how to read music and developed a passion for teaching.
Erick got a chance to see the world as a musician, playing alongside talents such as GB Leighton and Bernard Allison travelling to Germany, France, Africa and Spain.He also graced his musical talents n bands such as Standard Thompson, Boogie Wonderland, R Factor, Blueprint and Blue Water Kingsto name a few. He knew a host of musicians was well known in the metro area.
Erick accepted Jesus Christ as his lord and savior at an early age & was baptized at Mount Olivet Baptist church of St.Paul, MN under the tutelage of pastor James W. Battle. At the age of 12 he was recruited to play at Shiloh Missionary baptist church.
