Richard Mangram's Obituary
Richard Myles Mangram, affectionately known as "Dickie," passed away peacefully on November 19, 2024, in St. Paul, Minnesota, surrounded by his children. He was 83.
Born in Pittsburg, Texas, Dickie earned his degree from Prairie View A&M University and enjoyed a distinguished career in business, civic service, and nonprofits, including roles at Control Data Corporation, Expo Graphics, and as Executive Director of the Hallie Q. Brown Community Center. A proud member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., and Pilgrim Baptist Church, he was deeply committed to uplifting his community.
He is survived by his children Yolanda, Edwin (Treneice), and Richard Jr.; grandchildren Ethan and Nathaniel; three sisters; and a host of nieces and nephews. A celebration of his life will be held on December 3, at Pilgrim Baptist Church in St. Paul, with visitation at 10:00 a.m. and the service at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Hallie Q. Brown Community Center are appreciated.
