To the Beasley Family and to Dr. Jackie Sowell-Davies, as a former Principal colleague of Drs. Beasley and Sowell-Davis, it is with great pleasure to share such fond memories of Willarene’s (aka-Wood) dedication, leadership, and the positive impact she made during our Minneapolis Public School Principals/Administrators Retreats, Principals Monthly 1st Fridays gathering, the Black Principals’ Association Annual Conferences, and many guiding insights she shared with me as a new administrator in the Minneapolis Public Schools.
Willarene was always endearing, supportive, and caring, and her wicked sense of humor often brought lightness and joy to those around her. The aforementioned is reflective of the old Baptist Hymnal, “Let The Life That You Lead, Speak for You.” Dr. Willarene P. Beasley, the life that you led and shared with us all, has spoken for you.
Rest in Power...
