William Fonville's Obituary
William Curtis Fonville Sr. was born on September 2, 1957, in St. Paul, Minnesota to parents,
Deena and Charlie Fonville. He graduated from St. Paul Central High School. In 1978 he married Sheryl Calendar.
He had a love of music and was an incredibly talented guitar player. He played many years at Peace Tabernacle Church. He was a long-time employee of Tom Thumb and Earth’s Beauty Supply in St. Paul. He loved sports and was a diehard Minnesota Viking fan. He also loved to go fishing. He loved to eat;holidays, BBQs, any event with food. Especially fish and popcorn. Most importantly, he loved spending time with family and friends.
He was a loving father, grandfather, brother, and uncle.
He is survived by his children, William Curtis Fonville, Jr., Chantel Fonville, and Michael Gorecki.
Also, his siblings, Debra, Troy (Natalie) and Letta.
He was preceded in death by his parents Deena and Charlie, brother Jeremiah Sr., and eldest daughter LaNesha Nicole Eden (Fonville).
He is also survived by a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews,and friends.
He had a very special bond like no other, with his eldest grandson William Curtis Fonville III (Tre’).
He is loved and will be truly missed by all.
